Only One Thing

Luke 10:42

“...but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”

I am blown away at the simple thought that at every moment of the day, no matter the mood, or performance, Jesus Christ is not only with me, but wants to be with me. There are over seven billion people in the earth right now, and to you, some may appear to be more important than yourself; whether it is because they are famous or they have done some great deed with their life. Nevertheless, it is easy to seem so small and hidden away from the desire of Jesus Christ, but be encouraged, that you are the one that Jesus wants to spend every moment, every second, of the day with.

Jesus told His disciples, “If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him” (John 12:26). He said also, “If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also” (John 14:3). As believers in Jesus Christ, I pray that we would be encouraged in knowing that we are not left behind as orphans, but that He is with us forever. The famous Jesus loves to dwell with the common, everyday man. He is not looking for an out of the ordinary task to be achieved first before He can come to dwell with you, but simply out of His loving heart, you are the desire of His heart. Simply be with Him. Slow down, and listen to Him. Study Luke 10:38-42 and rest in Him.
