Our Holy God

Our loving God is also holy God. He is set apart and perfect in every way. He is better than we can even comprehend. We will continue to learn about Him for all eternity, and that’s pretty awesome. In this truth, salvation is an ongoing friendship with God.

This holy God is seeking His creation to be holy, set apart, and obedient to everything that He created us for. To truly live for created purpose, we should desire to live holy in His sight through Jesus. Holiness is to return to be who you were created to be.

All of His commands are attainable. He would not have made them if they were not able to be obeyed. He’s not cruel, but holy. He has our highest good in mind. We must understand that his commandments are not burdensome, but a joy to obey. This is the freedom we have through a life lived with Jesus. Freedom to not do whatever we want but freedom to do what we know is right.
